FAQ's

F.A.Q.s-

1. Your prices seem really low, these puppies are half the price of my local pet shop. Why is that?
Remember that you are buying these puppies directly from the breeder. Usually it is their family pet that has had the puppies. Pet shops need to make money, so they mark the puppies up, if they would not, thy would go out of business. Also remember that by going directly to the breeder, the puppy is not exposed to other dogs or is stressed from being moved around, which means he/she will be healthier, and happier.

2. Where did you get all these dogs? Is this a giant puppy mill?
No, LancasterPuppies.com advertises puppies for local, reputable breeders . We do not raise puppies, only advertise them. (We are not a “high volume broker” either. You always call the breeder directly)

3. Can I take the puppy home with me right away?
Yes, you can, as long as the puppy is 7 weeks old, and the breeder accepts your form of payment. We suggest taking cash, as everyone accepts that. Some breeders accept money orders , credit cards, or paypal, but you need to verify that with the breeder before you go out.
We also suggest you take a pet carrier along, and make sure the puppy will be warm for the trip home. It is a good idea to ask for a rag or toy with the mother’s scent on, as this will help keep your puppy from feeling homesick.

4. I can’t find the breeder information.
Click on the picture of the puppy you are interested in, and it will open up a detailed listing with the breeder’s phone number.

5. Can I come out and look at the puppy before I buy?
Sure – visitors are welcome with all our advertisers. Just call the number on the listing to arrange a visit, and make sure they will be home.

6. Where are you located?
Most of the breeders are located within 10 miles of Leola Pa, zip code 17540. Please verify the address of the breeder by calling the number on the listing first.

7. What is Puppy2Go.com? This sounds like a puppy mill!
Puppy2Go.com is a puppy transport service. They have never raised puppies, and never will. They simple transport your new puppy from the breeder to your home. We read various places on the Internet about people ranting against puppy2go.com, calling it a puppy mill, and all sorts of evil things. I don’t know where they get that idea, they must not be able to read.

8. I still think this is a puppy mill, how can I know it is ok to buy a puppy from your site!?
Don’t take our word for it, go out and look at the puppy and where it is raised. Call the breeders – ask them questions. We get lots of testimonials from happy people who have found puppies on our site. You can read their stories (we call them our Lancaster Puppies Alumni) by clicking here.

Thanks for looking at LancasterPuppies.com!
