Sweet and pleasant male Llewellin Setter born February 8, 2024 in Nottingham, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. UKC and FDSB and DNA tested parents. Read Llewellin Setter Forum on Facebook to see what people say about this breed. If you want a dog to behave and learn to please your lifestyle, this is the dog for you. They have an intense desire to please their owners. They are not stubborn and unwilling at all!!
Both the sire and the dam from this litter are our personal family companions. We have had three dogs from the Mitchells and they all are the best! If they are blessed to go hunting, they are So excited to go but without the hunting, these dogs are STILL the most easily trained well behaved dogs I have ever had the pleasure of living with. What a perfect blend. This breed is extremely intense about pleasing you. They train easy and all they want to do is make you happy. They are NOT wild crazy hunting dogs at all.
We say kennel up, and almost no matter where they are, They are coming back to go right in their beautiful kennel. They are very calm, obedient house dogs, and travel well to the pet friendly hotels. This breed can go from your warm bed, to the big dog sitter's kennel, to a 36 hour ride on the backseat of your truck, to a friend's house overnight, BUT mostly from the woodlands (after being cleaned up) to your warm fireside bed.
Gentle and cautious around little ones and the elderly.
Right now We have 10 grandchildren that visit regularly and these dogs are very acclimated to crazy little kids. My parents are 95 and still with us.
