Guidelines for Puppy Listings

At Lancaster Puppies, we value our sellers and want to make the process as simple as possible. However, to keep our marketplace running properly for our puppy buyers, we have a few guidelines to follow for posting listings.

Classified Puppy Advertising

To get started, create a user account. Then, request an upgrade to a seller account in order to list your puppies for sale and complete the two-factor authentication process. Once your account is approved, you can start advertising your puppies!

To create an ad, fill out information about the puppy, like his or her name, his breed, age, and personality. Then include your contact information, like your phone number and an email. Then add a picture or pictures of the puppy you're selling. Pictures of the puppy from different angles, and doing different activities are recommended. We encourage you to also include pictures of the puppy's parents. Do not include pictures of other puppies for sale or your ad will be removed immediately. If you would like to sell more than one puppy, you must create more ads.

After creating your ad, you can check out with a credit card (Visa/Mastercard/Discover) on our secure server.

Ads are only $19.00 each, and you may post as many as you need.

Customers will contact you directly through the contact information you provided. You can update the puppy's pictures as often as you'd like, but cannot change the title or breed once the listing has been created. The ad will automatically go offline after 45 days unless you renew. We reserve the right to edit or delete any individual ad for impropriety or misuse of the guidelines.

At no time will Lancaster Puppies request to confirm your account once it is created, nor ask for your login information for any reason. If you receive a notice or an email that your account must be confirmed, let us know. These may be phishing attempts, and they are not emails coming from Lancaster Puppies.

One Puppy Per Ad

You may only advertise one puppy per advertisement. Any ad with language indicating that there are more puppies in the litter for sale, or pictures of other puppies besides the one specified in the ad copy, will be deleted with no refund. Any ads that were created, and then modified to indicate that there are multiple puppies for sale will be deleted with no refund. Each ad is only for a single puppy, not a litter. If you have multiple puppies in a litter for sale, you must create an ad for each puppy in the litter. Also not permitted is switching an ad to a different puppy once that puppy is sold. 

Breed Categories

All puppies must be entered into the correct and appropriate breed categories. Purebred categories are reserved strictly for purebred puppies. Puppies that do not follow common breed standards are subject to questioning, we may request a DNA test to allow them in the purebred category, regardless of registration papers. Mixed puppies that are in the  purebred category will be moved to the correct category without notification. Mixed breeds must be entered into a mix(hybrid) category or the correct "designer breed", three way mixed puppies can not be put into two way mix categories. If you have a new breed or mix that you do not see a category for please contact us.

Contact Information

No contact information (phone numbers, email addresses or websites) shall be put into the puppy description or included on the photos. This information can be added to the "seller profile" which can be viewed by puppy shoppers. Websites are only allowed on seller profiles for individual breeders but not as other advertising websites. 

Advertising Agencies

You are welcome to list your client's puppies, however, you may only provide a link to an external website representing that specific seller. The listing must reflect only the actual seller's information. You may not include watermarks, URLs, etc. in any part of the listing including photos and videos but not limited to those.

Stud Dog Service Advertising

You can place a stud dog ad for $10.00. Your listing will be active for 6 months. During that time, you can update the pictures, puppy details, and the contact information on your listing any time by logging in. Lancaster Puppies reserves the right to terminate any ad at any time, for any reason.10
