We are a 40 acre homestead & 4H family nestled in the woods of central Ohio. Our Estrela Mountain Dogs guard our children & livestock, sounding the alarm at the slightest hint of danger. We have been so impressed with this livestock guardian dog breed that we have decided to occasionally breed them for the benefit of other farms in need of high quality working dogs. One of the biggest challenges we've had in the past with LGD's has been poor diverse neurological & desensitization training, and it is our goal to raise LGD puppies who are well-socialized, adaptable, and can be easily handled to receive basic care without aggression or fear, while still getting solid on-the-job training from mom & dad to round out their already natural instincts to protect!
