Meet Red Valley Retrievers

Hi there! My name is Amanda and I am the owner of Red Valley Retrievers. Our family lives in a little valley nestled on the outskirts of San Diego, CA. In this valley we are surrounded by rock filled mountains that glow a beautiful red color as the sun rises and sets each day. Hence, why we picked the name, "Red Valley Retrievers". We have five amazing children that are the heart of how your new puppy is socialized into a family that adores and cherishes their very existence. Our love for Golden Retrievers has evolved into a passion for providing families with affectionate, intelligent, and healthy puppies. Our goal is to make sure your next family pet is everything you were expecting and more. We have over 7 years of combined breeding experience, with an additional 10+ years of fostering abandoned animals, whelping/caring for abandoned pregnant mama’s, as well as volunteering at the local shelter while growing up. We are constantly learning and improving our program and education about puppy rearing, health requirements and standards, and breeding practices. Currently our Sire and Dames are genetically tested through Embark with all genetic factors kept in mind while carefully choosing specific and ideal pairings. All of our dogs are closely vet monitored and current on all recommended vaccines with the majority having completed their OFA testing as they come of age. Our Golden Retrievers are gentle, family dogs that are amazing with everyone they meet, our five children of various ages, and other animals as well. They are so smart with a strong willingness to learn and please their humans. Raising our puppies in our home helps them become well adjusted to the every day lifestyle of a busy family. Some of the things they are exposed, but not limited to, are the sounds and movement of the vacuum, our very loud and excited children's squeals of happiness, other dogs barking and socializing with them, the smells of food being made, and even the company of our chickens in their coop outside. All of this is to desensitize them to most things so they can become a solid and confident puppy and eventually a well mannered adult. By choosing to adopt one of our beautiful Golden Retriever puppies, you are opening your heart and home to your new companion and best friend. You can feel confident that they have gotten the best start in life possible. Then, under your care, for the rest of their life you will be giving them the world.
