Meet Rusty and Erika Trubey, Slate Hill Mastiffs

Our family moved to rural Lancaster County, Pennsylvania from Tampa, Florida in 2015. Rusty works as a chaplain for the Department of Veterans Affairs and is also an Army chaplain, currently on orders at Dover Air Force Base, DE. Erika is much busier raising and caring for our 8 children, 3 of which have some special medical needs. And, yes, she also homeschools them - superwoman, I know! ​ If 8 kids weren't enough, we also have 4 dogs - 3 English Mastiffs and 1 Boxer. You can say we are a dog family! My wife grew up with boxers and I had one when we got married. We continued to raise boxers and other kinds of dogs...a St. Bernard, Pug, and Terrier, and Beagles. But we love our Mastiffs! So much so that we decided to try our hand in breeding. Our first litters were a hit, and our owners and veterinarian gave us extremely great feedback on our care. It's a ton of work, but we have a ton of hands! All our kids jump at the chance to hold and play with one of our puppies. Our goal is to be the best breeder of English Mastiff puppies in Lancaster County Pennsylvania, ensuring your puppy comes to you healthy, loved and well socialized.
