In 2015, Purdue University along with other individuals who were doing studies on the Whelping mothers and also on puppies from birth to 8 weeks of age-asked us to build a kennel that they had been carefully designing. They had spent years studying and finally came to the final plan in the fall of 2015. The kennel itself took about a year to complete. Each dog lives every day on varied surfaces including grass, tile, plastic ramps, and also solid flooring. They walk up and down ramps and stairs, as studies have shown in various parts of the world have found that varying levels ( stairs, outdoor raised deck etc.) can be very beneficial for dogs and puppies development. Also since studies show that puppies need clean air at all times, a natural air system was designed to replace the buildings air continually. Our puppies are family raised and alive to run around with kids. Our children are a big assent in the kennel helping socialize our puppies.
