Meet Teddy Bear Bernedoodles

So what exactly is a Teddy Bear Bernedoodle? In technical terms many breeders refer to f2b Bernedoodles as Teddy Bear Bernedoodles. They are a cross between a f1 Bernedoodle and a f1b Bernedoodle. We agree with others that they resemble a Teddy Bear. The Teddy Bear Bernedoodle is any generation that is not an F1. Sometimes breeders will classify a Teddy Bear Bernedoodle as an F1B, F2B, or multi-gen. Not all of our puppies will be multigenerational bernedoodles but all will have the temperament, health, structure, coat and color we aim to produce. They are calm, quiet, social, intelligent, affectionate, and goofy. There aren’t too many things in this world more adorable than our puppies. A first generation or f1 Bernedoodle is produced by crossing the Bernese Mountain Dog and the Poodle in a 50/50 ratio. The Bernese side produces a loyal dog who protects its territory, and the Poodle gene adds intelligence and a coat that does not shed. Those are two reasons why Bernedoodles make ideal pets. The Poodle side of the Teddy Bear Bernedoodles is moderate to highly energetic. They love the outdoors and need ample room to stay active and work off their energy. They enjoy taking walks and interacting with their owners. The Bernese Mountain Dog side is lazier and needs the motivation to be active. Since Bernedoodles seem to display behaviors from both sides, you will never have a dull moment with these puppies. We love that our Teddy Bear Bernedoodles make great family companions and can double as a therapy or service dog as well. At Teddy Bear Bernedoodle our puppies come in black and chocolate tri, black and chocolate merle tri, as well as on occasion phantoms. We focus mainly on tiny/micro 10-25 lbs and mini 25-50 lbs but will sometimes have the standard size 50 lbs +. We carefully select the parents that we will pair together in-order to produce the size, coat type, color/markings, health and temperament that we wish to produce. We love the tiny/micro and mini size because they are great for all living situations. All of our Teddy Bear Bernedoodles will have the beautiful wavy low to non shedding coats making them great for most families that suffer from allergies. The wavy to curly coat produces less shedding, rendering it hypoallergenic in most instances. That is part of what makes the Teddy Bear Bernedoodle the perfect dog for anyone.
