Ive always loved the big breeds. Ive had bernese mountain dogs and great Pyrenees! Ive always wanred a newfie and lost my senior dog and happened to just browse puppies (probably to make myself feel better) but I came across the merle newfoundland and checked out the website on them and instantly I thought " i have to have one". They had a wait list option as I thought there was no way they had any puppies available... I texted dawn (breeder) and to my surprise she had puppies available! She was amazing in communication. Let me drive up that day to see if I had a connection with any of the puppies. Introduced me to the puppies parents (they were beautiful and well taken care of.) I instantly knew I wanted one of them (I would have taken more if I was able too) haha. She made the process flawless. I put a deposit down and dawn kept me updated on photos and videos. On pickup day, she gave her a bath, and a care package that included a harness, her current food, and toys. She had all the paperwork for her current vaccinations and gave me the list of dates she would need her other vaccines by. She also does OFA testing on the parents and sent me the paperwork from the vet on her parents and how healthy they were. Since then, ive loved sharing videos and photos and progress of my bonnie girl. Dawn really did an amazing job breeding for temperament as bonnie is the most calm, smart, trainable girl! 12/10 recommend. Amazing experience.

My heart is so full after bringing home my adorable ball of floof from Dawn and the team at The Merle Newfoundland. I worked with Dawn for over a year when my previous dog began getting sick. She put me on a waiting list, stayed in touch with me and my husband frequently, answered all of our questions quickly, and helped us pick out the most perfect boy from a recent litter. The crew at The Merle Newfoundland were kind, knowledgeable, helpful, quick to respond, and you could tell they truly cared for their animals - they are all parts of their family. These puppies are cared for and loved from the moment they are born and even after they leave to be with their forever families. I still send Dawn updates on Felix frequently and she always responds and enjoys them. The Merle Newfoundland group has become an extension of my family and has completed my immediate family with the addition of one of their puppies. We couldn't be happier with the team/Dawn and with our not so little puppy, Felix. Thank you all so much!

In November 2024 I found my puppy on this site. I began messaging/bombarding Dawn with tons of questions, picture requests, and just annoying her in general. In December I drove over 4 hours just to meet my puppy, to see her in person, and see how she and the other dogs were being cared for as she grew. In January 2025 we went back to bring my puppy home. I genuinely can not say enough good things about Dawn and her pack. It was so obvious the moment you see them how much she cares for each of her dogs. Dawn has taught me so much about healthy and good breeding standards that she won't compromise on. And she genuinely wants the best life possible for her puppies. It didn't take me long after getting my sweet Josie to decide that when I'm ready for another newfie, I know where I'm going to get her from. Being able to visit her a month before taking her home, holding her, seeing her parents and litter mates, seeing how clean and nice everything was kept for the puppies was so good for this anxious mama's heart. And Dawn has her puppies transported to people all over the country! She does video chats with people to meet their pups if they can't visit in person, and tries to do a few photo shoots when possible with each puppy. All I can say is, if you find a puppy from Dawn that catches your heart, take the step! My goofy newfie is the highlight of my life right now. I am so happy.
