An ancient breed originating in China, this palace dog was cherished by royalty. Their unique appearance resembles that of the lions of traditional Chinese art and so are often called lion dogs. The long, silky coat sheds very little and was once a symbol of status and beauty. This outgoing breed enjoys meeting people and being pampered. Gentle and friendly, they make wonderful family dogs and do well with adults and children alike. They most enjoy spending time with their people, sitting on laps, snuggling and cuddling. Short, simple walks and indoor games with toys and fetch, basic training and even grooming are healthy activities that stimulate them physically and mentally and promote bonding. Their small size makes it easy to be taken along on trips and visits! Born and raised in the house, these lovable puppies are shy at first, but still very friendly! They are playful and affectionate, enjoying playtime, meeting people, and gives lot's of sweet puppy kisses! They are partially house trained, doing well using the outdoors to potty. They live in the house with their mom, Kayleen, a beloved house dog. She would be happy to welcome you when you arrive!
