I adopted two Yorkshire Terrier puppies last weekend from Laura. I was so impressed when I arrived at the house for pick up. The house was spotless, it was beautiful and the puppies were wonderful. I went with the intention of adopting one, and instead I adopted two! It was a fun evening, easy to talk to. She answered all of my questions and was very welcoming about it.
In addition, she supplied a stuffed full quart-size bag of premium quality puppy size kibble food, and a leash and collar for each dog, Each dog had been already to the vet once, had first shots, been dewormed and even microchipped. She included a toy for each and teeny bows for the little girl.
I could not have been happier. I would so, so recommend this breeder. She was FIRST to call back, and kind about holding the dogs for me with a small deposit. I would never travel out of state myself to pick up a dog! These dogs were local, and I was able to see them and adopt them within a day.
This was a great experience!

Pros
AKC's most popular toy breed â a companion dog royalty with nearly 150 years of US show history
Silky, continuously growing coat doesn't shed â widely considered hypoallergenic by American allergy sufferers
Outsized terrier personality in a 7-pound body â the quintessential American 'big dog in a small package'
Highly trainable for its size: consistent AKC obedience and agility competitor
Cons
The show coat requires daily attention and professional grooming every 6-8 weeks â a significant ongoing investment
Hypoglycemia in young puppies (especially Teacup-sized Yorkies) requires careful feeding management
Portosystemic liver shunts occur at higher rates in the breed â symptoms may not appear until adulthood
Fragile frame â inappropriate handling, falls, or interactions with larger dogs can cause serious injury
