“The cutest thing about fall has four paws and a wagging tail!” Look at me! I am a Morkie puppy who is very friendly and calm! My Mom is a 6lb black and tan Yorkie and my Dad is a 8 lb all white Maltese. I was born on July 5th and I am ready for my forever home! I have been family raised on a mini farm in the country. I have had my shots and dewormers. I have been checked by a veterinarian and I am microchipped. For more information or to schedule a visit with me, please contact Joe Monday through Saturday. All Sunday calls will be returned on Monday. I will come with a 30 day health guarantee. I will be sent to my new home with my vet and shot and dewormer records. We would be happy to help you with setting up transportation and shipping of your puppy if needed at an additional cost. Morkies are a mixed breed between a Maltese and Yorkshire Terrier, and are also known as a Malkie, Yorktese, and Morkshire Terrier. They were initially bred in the 1990s to create a dog that is sociable, lovable, and one that sheds little. Playful, lively, and perky, Morkies are tiny, but think they are bigger than they really are. They are great for those dwelling in apartments, and for small or one person households. The Morkie can be great for senior citizens, or someone home a lot, otherwise they can suffer from separation anxiety. Morkies need to be the center of attention, therefore having other pets would not be advisable. They do well with a few short walks every day, and other indoor play time. They are usually 4-8 inches in height and normally weigh about 7-13 pounds. These adorable and playful pups can be a bit challenging to train because they are so strong willed, and early training and socialization would be to your advantage. The Morkie is known to have hair instead of fur, which is usually silky and gorgeous, and straight or wavy. Their coats are various colors of white, tan, brown, black, or apricot, and can be solid or a mixture of colors. Care of the Morkie is pretty uncomplicated but can be time-consuming. They require daily brushing to avoid matting, their teeth brushed daily, and their ears checked daily. It would also be advisable to have their nails trimmed 1-2 times a month, and groomed professionally every few months. If you maintain proper veterinary care and abundant love your Morkie should live a happy and long life.
