I have a female cocker spaniel available. This is a hard one for me, but I know she would love a less chaotic home when she can be a princess.
Aspen
Gender: Female.
Age: 6
Weight: Approximately 25 lbs.
Like the Aspen tree which is best known for standing out with its quivering leaves, this mature gal makes quite the impression. Aspen is a tri-colored, beautiful AKC American Cocker Spaniel. She has a very nice pedigree with her father being imported from Belarus and both of his parents were champions. She is a sweet and gentle girl, who loves to collect toys and be the queen of her castle. She can get along with other dogs, but only if they respect that she will always be the one in control. A true matriarch that would benefit by being an only dog or with a companion that is mellow and respects boundaries.
While she is not aggressive at all, she may not be suited for a home with young children who would not respect her personal space. Older children or those that know how to be gentle and mindful of her boundaries should be no problem.
The name Aspen will often bring to mind the great Colorado mountains, which seems rather fitting as this girl loves to go exploring in the great outdoors. That being said, Aspen is an independent sort of lady who must have a securely fenced-in property to roam in or be on a leash outside at all times. She is a girl who will follow her nose wherever it leads her, afterall.
As is the case with any dog who comes into a new home, she will need to learn your routine. She is crate-trained and housebroken, but if she isn’t sure when you will be taking her out to potty, she may have an accident or two. Despite this, she is a very intelligent dog and should be easy to teach your lifestyle, even with her independent nature.
While she may not be the biggest snugglepup, she certainly wouldn’t mind a nice cozy bed in a spacious crate in your living room that she can retire to when she needs some space.
That isn’t to say that she doesn’t love a good scratch under the chin or some loving pets. She really is a very sweet and charming little lady.
Aspen is not spayed, but she is being sold as a pet only and will need to be spayed once she is settled in > She is a retired Mom having had 2 litters .Her first litter was when she was 2 and her second litter when she was 4. She was a great mom and I have kept one of the females from her last litter to keep this line going. Aspen is a 3rd generation for me and her daughter is 4th generation.
