Description
“Roses are red, violets are blue… this puppy is waiting just for you!”
I am a Yorkchon puppy! I was born on December 3rd and I am ready for my forever home! I have been family raised on a mini farm in the country around children. I have had my shots and de-wormers. I have been checked by a veterinarian and microchipped. For more information or to schedule a visit with me, please contact Marlene Monday through Saturday. All Sunday calls will be returned on Monday.
My Mom is Jenny an 8lb Bichon and my Dad is Kody a 5lb AKC Yorkie.
I will be sent to my new home with a quart sized bag of my current food.
This charming, inquisitive, and delightful breed is a mix between a Yorkshire Terrier and a Bichon Frise. The Yorkie-Chon originated in the United States about 20 years ago and became more well known about ten years ago. This affectionate, amusing, comical, and devoted breed loves people and attention, and loves to be the center of that attention. This breed is very sociable. They have a tender and sensitive temperament, but can also suffer from separation anxiety, and it would be important to have lots of toys for them when left alone. Yorkie-Chons are great for apartment living and are resilient in any living arrangement, and are also good for families with children. Though they are energetic and lively, they do not require a lot of exercise, maybe 30 minutes a day, because they expend lots of calories simply by being energetic. The Yorkie-Chon has a thick and soft coat which does require routine brushing to avoid matting and to alleviate excess hair on the floor. It is vitally important to maintain the fur behind their ears to also avoid matting. This breed’s coat does not hold onto dirt or debris which aids in their low grooming requirements. The Yorkie-Chon does need to be bathed 1x/month and groomed only twice a year. This breed’s coat comes in many colors from white to black, and with many variations of shades in between. They do need to have their nails trimmed every month as well as their teeth brushed daily. It is important that the Yorkie-Chon have their ears cleaned frequently to prevent any infections from developing. The breed is typically 9-12 inches tall, usually weighs 6-8 pounds, and commonly has a lifespan of 10-12 years.
