Description
Dog lovers alert! These four puppies are heart-stoppers. I've had dogs all my life (I'm 65) and mom Mila is my favorite of all time, the perfect dog. And it has clearly rubbed off on her puppies, the perfect mixture of curiosity and cuddle-ability.
Shiloh was the first girl in the litter, and the most like her outstanding mom Mila. She just has the sweetest temperament, and the softest fur among them to boot. I have to admit, she was my favorite of the bunch. She’s cute, she’s cuddly, and when she looks you in the eyes they seem to be saying “I couldn’t be happier”.
Shiloh was adopted by our daughter and family but due to unexpected lifestyle and occupational changes, they felt it best to pass her along to a new home who would be better prepared to take care of her. The good news is she is quite far along in her puppy training, which is included in her description below:
Shiloh Grace (Peaceful One/Gift from God, Grace-filled) is a precious little pup who has lived up to her namesake! She has a quiet joy that isn't overwhelming (she's not a big barker!), an excitable bow with her paws outstretched towards you and tail wiggle when you come close, and has a a bit of a tendency to be a faithful shadow to her favorite people. She's great with eye contact when spoken to, which has made interacting with her and giving instructions to her when teaching her a delight.
She's already experienced her first:
- Shower/Bath
- Blow Dry
- Nail trim
- Brushing (once every 2 days)
Her Training so far:
- Potty Training indoors on Potty Pads (limited outdoor experience do to on-going vaccinations)
- Night time crate sleeps (haven't incorporated day-time crate training in a structured way)
- Loose-Leashing Training (indoor and backyard experience)
- No-Treat Training (I haven't needed to use treats to train her so far)
Vocabulary she's familiar with:
- With Me (If you want her to come with you/follow you, to mark celebratory moments like "Yay! With me, Shiloh!")
- Uh-oh! (to mark behaviour you don't want her to continue)
- Yes / Well Done (to mark behaviour you want to enforce)
- Sit / Lay Down
- Wait (Before meals or treats)
- Leave It (to items/things you never want her to touch)
- Stop! / Drop it (To get her to stop, and then to get her to spit things out of her mouth)
- Mat / Bed (Bed or blanket you want her to go to)
- Listen (to get her to pay attention)
- Collar/Leash/Off (like take your collar “off”!)
- Sorry!
- Excuse Me
- Shower / Dryer
Shiloh is a true gem. Better hurry!
