Description

Hello there!  I'm Oakley, a beautiful Champagne and White Newfoundland puppy! Oakley is the perfect addition to any family. Don't miss the opportunity to bring home this delightful Newfoundland puppy! I am friendly and love people and have been around children my whole life! I would love to fill your home with all of my puppy love! I have been vet checked, and I am up to date on vaccinations and dewormings and will come with a one year genetic health guarantee and AKC registration. You're welcome to stop by and look at these lovely Newfoundlands anytime and see for yourself how much love they get! See our website @www.fivestarpups.com Shipping information.  We use a local shipper if needed that ships right to your house if needed. The puppies generally arrive on Tuesday night or Wednesday East of the Mississippi and Wednesday through Friday West of the Mississippi. The shipper takes Venmo, Paypal or cash and that can be paid at delivery.  Deposit Information.  My usual deposit is $200 with a credit card on my website through Stripe or Venmo whatever you prefer, then the balance can be paid at delivery in cash, Venmo or Paypal.  Puppy Information  Will come with vaccination records, vet check, a bag of food and a one year genetic health guarantee.  Great family pet and well socialized. Fun facts about Newys! 1. Newfoundland dogs are large and need plenty of space Males typically stand about 26 to 28 inches tall at the shoulder and weigh up to 150 pounds, with females being somewhat smaller. Due to their large size, they require spacious living arrangements to live comfortably; apartment or small home living usually isn’t ideal. 2. They have webbed toes and a love for water Historically bred as working water dogs along the Newfoundland coast, this breed is an excellent swimmer thanks to their webbed feet. Their dense double coat resists water and keeps them warm and buoyant in chilly water—perfect for lake or beach-loving families in states like Michigan or Maine. 3. Lifespan is around 8 to 10 years Being a giant breed often means a shorter lifespan compared to smaller breeds. In the USA, Newfoundlands typically live about 8 to 10 years. Attentive health care and early intervention on medical issues can help in extending their quality years. 4. They can face various health issues This breed is prone to hereditary problems, including hip and elbow dysplasia, which affect joint health and mobility. Heart conditions like subvalvular aortic stenosis (SAS) and dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) are also quite common, making regular veterinary checkups essential. 5. Intelligent and eager to learn Newfoundlands rank among the more intelligent dog breeds. They respond best to consistent, gentle training methods and enjoy activities that engage both their minds and bodies
