Description
“Adventure with a side of cuteness—your pup awaits!”
I am a Puggle puppy! I was born on February 21st and I will be ready for my forever home on April 18th! I have been family raised on a mini farm in the country. I have had my shots and de-wormers. I am microchipped. For more information or to schedule a visit with me, please contact Atlee Monday through Saturday. All Sunday calls will be returned on Monday.
My Mom is Mitzy a Beagle and my Dad is a Pug.
The Puggle is an adorable, sweet, and cuddly small to medium sized designer dog breed mix between a Pug and a Beagle. The breed was developed in the 1980s by Wallace Havens from Wisconsin. Haven's aspiration was to develop a breed that combined the best qualities found in the Pug and the Beagle. The Pug is known to have a calm, friendly, and affectionate nature, whereas the Beagle is loyal, energetic, and easy-going. They are very resilient, adaptable, and accommodating. Puggles are a great breed for many lifestyles, whether it is rural, suburban, or even the city, as long as they do get enough exercise. The Puggle is low maintenance and very easy to groom. This endearing and charming breed has a thick and powerful build, and may have a somewhat longer body. Their tail can look more like the Pug where it curls or it can be straight like the Beagle. It just depends on which breed it resembles. The Puggle has well-built and strong legs, and tightly, thick packed paws. The Puggle is normally 8-15 inches high, typically weighs 14-30 pounds, and generally has a life span of 10-15 years. The Puggle is typically a healthy breed but does have a propensity for hip dysplasia, hypothyroidism, and epilepsy, but with regular veterinary visits, love and care your Puggle should live a long and happy life.
