After looking high and low for a reasonably priced bulldog for my dad, I stumbled across Mr. Kauffman's bulldogs. I was skeptical (like many people are when it comes to anything online), but I pushed that aside to put some faith into a stranger. Mr. & Mrs. Kauffman were very communicative with me, something that absolutely assured me about coming to them, answering every question and concern that I had. I drove from KY to PA, a 16 hour round trip, after only seeing the photos on Lancaster puppies.
My sister brought up many issues she had with my decision. I never FaceTimed to see the puppies. When my dad pressed me to have them send a contract to my email, Mrs. Kauffman mentioned they didn't have e-mail access. I didn't even make a fuss because even on the phone they seemed like trustworthy people. I can understand an adopter wanting to ensure that there is not a scam afoot, but I can say with 100% honesty that after meeting their beautiful family and seeing the puppies play on the property that I was comfortable with them and in the decision to come to them. Now, my dad is absolutely over the moon about the new puppy.
I would absolutely come back to Mr. Kauffman, if we are ever looking to add an additional family member. Every hour of that drive was worth it. The puppy was well taken care of by them and is well socialized. All she wants to do is play and is an absolute snuggle bug. She is perfect. I want to thank both Mr. & Mrs. Kauffman. Twila has found her forever home and will be well loved for the rest of her life.
