Ever wonder what happened to the old Lassie canine? These canines nearly went extinct back in the late 1980's, but due to the efforts a few, these canines have been preserved. There are around 400 of these canine with full registration in the United States at this time. Below are some youtube videos explaining the history of these rare collies.
They herd, guard, and hunt. They love children, and they are ideal for a homestead. They are friendly, intelligent, and intuitive.
Our family has been working to preserve these wonderful animals since 2012. Currently, many of our canine enjoy life helping their families on the family farm. Others live in a suburban area and have received their AKC good citizen award before their first birthday. Some are the companions of the elderly. Still others have done well in the agility ring and/or are being trained as therapy/service animals. A number of them have excelled at barn hunting. If you would like to learn more about this rare breed, please contact us through Lancaster Puppies.

Named for Davy Crockett, a defender of the Alamo, Crockett is a brave fellow looking for a home full of love and adventure. He is one of the larger males in the litter. He seems rather calm. (We will have personality tests done at 7 weeks to give the buyer a better idea on the personality of the puppies.) Crockett will likely be a rich ginger-snap sable with black guard hairs when grown. Pictured also are his mom and dad and a full-blooded sibling named Bonnie. Bonnie has earned AKC titles in Canine Good Citizen, Fetch, Rally Obedience, and Trick Dog. She has earned points in FastCat and is learning Barn hunt too. She is an extremely versatile dog. I have been told by a therapy dog evaluator that she would make an excellent therapy dog as well.
