I am a ACA Mini Dachshund puppy! I was born on December 23rd and I am ready for my forever home! I have been family raised on a mini farm in the country around children! I have had my shots and de-wormers. I have been checked by a veterinarian and microchipped. For more information or to schedule a visit with me, please contact John Monday through Saturday. All Sunday calls will be returned on Monday.
I will be sent to my new home with a some of my current food, my vet and shot and dewormer records, and a collar.
We would be happy to help you with setting up transportation and shipping of your puppy if needed at an additional cost.
Dachshunds are an easily recognizable dog that has a fun-loving personality and confident stance. These expressive dogs easily capture the hearts of those around them, and are loyal to a fault, often bonding closely with one family member. They love to be a part of everything going on, and will often think that they know best, which means they need focused training from an early age. Dachshunds are mischievous dogs that were originally bred for hunting and can exhibit some traits that reflect that. Because of their size they adapt well to apartment living, but need to be exercised regularly both mentally and physically. Despite their small size, Dachshunds tend to have unusually loud and deep barks, and like to use their voice to communicate. They are little packages with lots of energy and will love to play games with their owners. Although they typically love to be outside to play, they should not be kept outdoors and are much better suited as house pets. If motivated, they can learn quickly, but get bored easily if not properly entertained.
Dachshunds are classified as either standard or miniature, with standard usually weighing between 16 and 32 pounds, and mini weighing between under 11 pounds; anything between 11 and 16 pounds is referred to as a tweenie. Coats on dachshunds vary and depend on whether they are smooth, wirehaired, or longhaired. No matter which type of dachshund, it is important to clean their ears, as droopy ears on dogs can make them more prone to bacteria. Dachshunds are relatively easy to care for, though they are prone to weight gains so food and exercise to be monitored in order to ensure they stay healthy.

I can not say enough how amazing Jim and his family are. We drove to Ohio a week ago 8 hours one way and it was the best thing we did. Got my furbaby and couldn't be happier. I have the most adorable Frenchton. Jim and his wife were so great with us and my baby is so smart and perfect. I would recommend them to anyone. Thank you again so much.
