I am a Yorkchon puppy! My Mom is Paisley a Bichon and my Dad is Travis a Yorkie. I was born on Janaury 16th and I will be ready for my forever home on March 14th! I have been family raised on a mini farm in the country around children. I have had my shots and de-wormers. I have been checked by a veterinarian. I am micro-chipped. We are ODA certified and all our moms and dad have regular health checks throughout the year. Along with any care and attention they need. Our puppies are friendly and playful and socialized with kids. Paperwork for your new puppy... a vet check by a veterinarian that has done a nose to tail evaluation of the puppy. We will have the results of the exam. Also a vaccine record of worming and vaccines that the puppy has received. A microchip and a link of where to register your new puppy. We will also send along a puppy starter kit of food that she has been eating so you have enough to transition into a new food slowly so we can take care of her new tummy as she is adjusting to her new home. A 1 year health guarantee so you have enough time to get to the vet and make sure your new puppy is progressing well since they have been home. This charming, inquisitive, and delightful breed is a mix between a Yorkshire Terrier and a Bichon Frise. The Yorkie-Chon originated in the United States about 20 years ago and became more well known about ten years ago. This affectionate, amusing, comical, and devoted breed loves people and attention, and loves to be the center of that attention. This breed is very sociable but early socialization is imperative or they can exhibit a nervous disposition when older. They have a tender and sensitive temperament, but can also suffer from separation anxiety, and it would be important to have lots of toys for them when left alone. Yorkie-Chons are great for apartment living and are resilient in any living arrangement, and are also good for families with children. Though they are energetic and lively, they do not require a lot of exercise, maybe 30 minutes a day, because they expend lots of calories simply by being energetic. The Yorkie-Chon has a thick and soft coat which does require routine brushing to avoid matting and to alleviate excess hair on the floor. It is vitally important to maintain the fur behind their ears to also avoid matting. This breed’s coat does not hold onto dirt or debris which aids in their low grooming requirements. The Yorkie-Chon does need to be bathed 1x/month and groomed only twice a year. This breed’s coat comes in many colors from white to black, and with many variations of shades in between. They do need to have their nails trimmed every month as well as their teeth brushed daily. It is important that the Yorkie-Chon have their ears cleaned frequently to prevent any infections from developing. The breed is typically 9-12 inches tall, usually weighs 6-8 pounds, and commonly has a lifespan of 10-12 years.
