Description
I am a tiny Yorkshire Terrier, one of just two little pups, and even though its only me and my sibling, my world feels full and bright and busy. Wherever I go, my sibling goes toolike my shadow, my best friend, my other half. If you listen closely, you can hear our tiny paws tapping together and our soft little squeaks as we play. I tumble everywhere with my siblingover blankets, into soft hands, sometimes right into them in a clumsy little bump. One of us starts a game, and suddenly were both bouncing and wiggling like fluff caught in a happy breeze. I try to chase my tail, then theirs, and sometimes we just roll into a tiny heap, all giggles and wiggles. The children in our home feel like part of our pack. When they sit on the floor, I hurry over as fast as my little legs can carry me. Their hands are gentle and warm when they pick me up, and I feel safe tucked close to them. I lick their fingers, nuzzle into their sleeves, and sometimes fall asleep right there, wrapped in their laughter. My mama, Mathena, is six pounds of soft, loving comfort, and my dad, Ziggy, is six pounds too. We went to the vet together, my sibling and me. It felt like such a big place, but I was brave. We got our shots and dewormer, and then we came back home where everything felt warm and familiar again. At the end of the day, I curl up right next to my sibling. Just the two of us, a tiny pair, breathing softly together. I may be very small, but with my sibling by my side, my life feels big, happy, and full of love.
