Description

"Too cute to handle, too sweet to miss — come fall in love with a Havanese today!" I am an AKC registered Havanese puppy! My Mom is Sophia a 11lb AKC Havanese and my Dad is Meschach a 10.6lb AKC Havanese. I was born on May 26th and I am ready for my forever home! I have been family raised on a mini farm in the country around children. I have had my shots and de-wormers. I will be checked by a veterinarian and microchipped. For more information or to schedule a visit with me, please contact Levi and Martha Monday through Saturday. All Sunday calls will be returned on Monday. I will come with my vet and shot record, a health guarantee, and some of my current puppy food. We would be happy to help you with setting up transportation and shipping of your puppy if needed at an additional cost. This beautiful companion breed was created in the 1800s for the Cuban nobility, and was brought to the United States during the Cuban Revolution in 1959. The Havanese is an affectionate, playful, and energetic breed that gets along with everyone; the elderly, children, and even other dogs. They can live anywhere as long as they are with their human family. New dog owners would do fine with a Havanese because the breed is intelligent and easy to train. The Havanese has a tender, kind, and silly personality, and loves to sit on the back of a couch or a table and just watch life. They seem to really love paper, especially toilet paper, and enjoy shredding it for the fun of it. The breed needs about 30 minutes of exercise a day, a long walk with playtime should suffice. They are typically 8-11 inches high, and usually weigh 7-13 pounds, with a lifespan of generally 12-15 years. Due to their thick, long, and silky coat, maintenance can be time consuming. The Havanese does need to have regular daily brushing to avoid matting, and some prefer to keep the breed’s coat clipped short. The colors of the coat can be black, white, black and tan, sable, gray, with many other colors and patterns as well. Havanese do need to be bathed often, and due to the length of the coat it is advised that they are professionally groomed. The Havanese is generally a healthy breed and with routine veterinary visits, care, and love they should live a long and happy life.
