Description
Litter of ten Newfies, perfectly split - 5 boys and 5 girls. The theme of the litter is Spring 2026 Bug Swarm, so they all have "bug"-themed names. All of them are majority black, with some white markings (some have more or less).
These puppies are raised in our home. Literally. They're in our dining room, providing ample socialization opportunities. My wife and I have 5 kids, all at home, ranging from 14-22 years old. In addition to the puppies' parents, we have a nine-month-old Newfie (Dusty), a Golden Retriever (Sunny), and a Saint Bernard (Princess Buttercup). So, they've met and played with many sizes, age-ranges, and breeds of dogs. We also have many cats - about half Maine Coons and half "standard" cats.
The parents are Daisy and Cerberus and this is their second litter together. Daisy is AKC registered and Cerberus is ACA, meaning they can't be registered. If that's important to you and you choose to look elsewhere, we understand.
However, both parents are tested with Embark and are clear of anything Embark tests for. They are also 100% Newfoundland and we will readily share those DNA results with you at request.
The puppies have received a vet check, been vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed. We will provide you with this documentation. We like to send them home after ten weeks (which would be June 1), but are willing to do it at nine weeks under the right circumstances (previous Newfie or giant breed ownership, mainly).
Moth, fifth born, fourth girl, all bad ass. Why is Moth a bad ass? Let me tell you:
— She was the first (and only) puppy to escape from the puppy pen. She could do this whenever she wanted.
— She gives no quarter. If she wants to be petted or to be held, she will physically swarm and verbally berate you until she gets what she wants.
— She enforces the “Puppy Code”, meaning she’ll correct other puppies’ behavior. Whatever is acceptable puppy behavior seems to depend on how Moth is feeling that day.
- She will be trainable, but with an understanding that she KNOWS you’re training her and she’s just playing along to get the reward or because it suits her. And she knows that you know she knows this and doesn’t care.
— In the right home, she will become legendary, the kind of dog that is referenced long after she’s passed on. In the wrong home, she will be a LARGE problem. We will not let her go to the wrong home.
- You need to ask yourself, am I up for all that? Can I be a Bad Ass, too? And if you’re not, go back to the porch and lie down.
She also has more white than any of the others - chest, all four paws, and chin.
