History: The Frug, also known as the Frenchie Pug, is an adorable hybrid of the French Bulldog and Pug. Like most designer dogs, the Frug was likely developed in the United States during the "designer dog craze" of the 1990s, when breeders began intentionally mixing two purebred dogs to achieve one dog that combined the best traits of both parent breeds. Aside from that, though, not much is known about the history and origins of the Frug. Over the years, the Frug was granted recognition by several dog clubs for designer and hybrid breeds.

Temperament: Frug puppies may be small, but they have big personalities. Smart, friendly, and playful, Frugs make great companions for singles and families alike. No matter the size of the household they live in, these dogs love and crave attention. They love being involved in their family's activities as much as possible, so don't be surprised if your Frenchie Pug follows you around the house from room to room. Training a Frug may be slightly difficult, as they typically inherit some stubborn behaviors from their Pug parent. However, as long as you start training a Frug early enough and establish yourself as "pack leader," training shouldn't be too much of a hassle.
