History: The Goberian is a popular designer breed that's a hybrid of the Golden Retriever and the Siberian Husky. While there isn't any record of when or where the Goberian originated, it is believed that the breed was developed during the 1980s or 90s in the United States. This was during the designer dog trend, when people began intentionally cross breeding two purebred dogs in order to create a new breed. Many of the mixed breeds that we know today were developed during this time period, including the Goberian. Despite its popularity and striking looks, the Goberian cannot be registered by the American Kennel Club (AKC) because it is not a purebred dog. However, the breed is recognized by several smaller clubs for hybrid and designer dogs.

Temperament: Goberians are intelligent, outgoing, and loyal dogs that are very family-friendly. This is a very social breed that gets along well with just about anyone, from children and strangers to other dogs and pets. Goberians are very active dogs, so it's important that the people they live with are active as well. These dogs need a generous amount of daily exercise, both physical and mental. If they don't get enough activity, Goberians can become restless, bored, and possibly destructive. Due to their high energy level, Goberians aren't well-suited for apartment living. However, in the right home, a Goberian will thrive and make the ultimate companion.
