The Sheltidoodle is a charming cross between a Poodle and a Shetland Sheepdog (Sheltie), blending intelligence, agility, and affection into one energetic companion. These dogs inherit the smarts and low-shedding coat of the Poodle along with the loyalty and alertness of the Sheltie, making them both active and family-friendly pets.
As a relatively new designer breed, the Sheltidoodle doesn’t have an extensive history yet — meaning every owner helps shape its story. Because both parent breeds have distinct looks, Sheltidoodles can vary greatly in appearance. They tend to have long, straight legs and expressive blue or brown eyes, with coats that range from wavy to curly and in various colors. Their intelligent and eager-to-please nature makes them highly trainable, though they can develop separation anxiety if left alone too often. They thrive on companionship and enjoy joining their owners on walks, hikes, or even family trips.
Being a hybrid breed, Sheltidoodles are generally healthy but may inherit conditions from either parent, such as hip dysplasia, sebaceous adenitis, Von Willebrand’s disease, or Collie eye anomaly. Their grooming needs depend on their coat type — Poodle-like coats require daily brushing and regular trimming, while Sheltie-like coats only need brushing a few times a week. Playful and energetic, Sheltidoodles do best with daily exercise, including walks and active play sessions. Thanks to their Poodle heritage, they shed very little, making them a great choice for allergy sufferers.

This little girl Nala is black with a white spot on her chest, she has more of the poodle look, she is very playful, loves to give kisses and would be a wonderful Christmas gift for any child/family member who has a puppy on their list. She has a very good temperament and would tend to be a bit more shy like her mom, but warms up pretty quickly.

Simba is lively! He is a rare brindle color and has a little more of his mom’s looks than his sister. He is looking for his furever family and will not disappoint. Though he isn’t as shy as his sister and has a little more courage & bravery, he does have a little bit of the Sheltie shyness.
