Chihuahuas have always been a part of our family farm. They were Granddad's favorite breed, and he enjoyed raising and selling puppies as long as he could. Today, over fifty years later, there are still Chihuahuas on this farm and they are still a favorite! Our dogs are not confined to a kennel. They have free access to all the fresh air, sunshine, and exercise they desire. They are free to choose their own special "happy place". In summer, that may be trailing after us while we pack tomatoes in the cool garage or a coveted spot under the shade tree. In winter, they prefer the heated part of the barn, or curling up in a pile of soft hay. A favorite part of raising Chihuahuas is changing the way people view them. Too often Chihuahuas are unfairly considered standoffish and yappy. It tastes like sweet success when strangers bend down to pet our dogs and exclaim how friendly they are! A new nest of puppies are always greeted with excitement. Once they are several weeks old, the children are allowed to begin holding them and cuddling them. Because Chihuahua puppies are so small, we wait to sell them until they are at least ten weeks old. They are vaccinated, vet checked, and socialized. Interested?
