At 501 Shepherds, we raise German Shepherds the way we believe they ought to be raised… close, cared for, and part of everyday life. We’re a small family operation here in Clinton, Arkansas, and every dog here is known, handled, and loved from the start.
Our focus isn’t just on looks, though our dogs carry strong West German bloodlines that speak for themselves. What matters most to us is raising dogs with a sound mind, steady nerves, and a natural ability to be both a protector and a companion. The kind of dog that can lay at your feet in the evening, but stand up when it counts.
We don’t rush the process, and we don’t cut corners. Our parents are fully health tested, and our puppies are raised with constant interaction so they grow into confident, well balanced dogs.
This isn’t a big kennel, and we like it that way. It allows us to focus on quality over quantity, and to stand behind every puppy we raise. When you get a dog from us, you’re not just getting a puppy… you’re getting something we’ve put our name and our time into.
If that kind of approach matters to you, we’d be glad to visit with you and see if one of ours is the right fit for your home.
