Meet Designer pups haus

What started as a lifelong love of dogs has grown into something we never could have planned. We've been raising, training, and caring for dogs since 1974 — and not a single day of it has felt like work. Our puppies are born in our home, raised in our living room, and surrounded by the sights, sounds, and rhythms of real family life from their very first breath. Our journey with dogs began in 1974 — not with a business plan, but with a simple, unshakeable love for animals. What started as a passion for raising dogs with exceptional temperament, health, and intelligence has grown into a lifelong commitment: to breed beautiful, healthy puppies that bring genuine joy to the families who welcome them home. Designer Pups Haus is the next chapter of that story — built on the same foundation, with a renewed focus on the families and companions that make it all worthwhile. That's the Designer Pups Haus difference. We don't run a kennel — we run a home. Every puppy that leaves us has been held, loved, socialized, and given a head start on becoming the best version of themselves. And we don't disappear after go-home day. We're here for the life of your dog. Janis Howard has been training, raising, and caring for dogs since 1974. That depth of experience means she can read a puppy, assess temperament, and make matches that last a lifetime. When Janis recommends a puppy for your family, it comes from five decades of knowing dogs deeply. We'd love to get to know you and your family. Every match starts with a conversation — and we're always happy to chat about our puppies, our program, and how we can find the right fit for your home. Starting at 5 weeks, every Designer Pups Haus puppy enters our Preschool program. By the time they go home at 9–10 weeks, they have had intentional, consistent preparation that most puppies never receive. Here's what that looks like. STEP 1 — WEEK 3–5: EARLY NEUROLOGICAL STIMULATION Beginning in the first weeks of life, each puppy receives gentle daily handling exercises that activate the nervous system and build stress tolerance. Puppies who receive this early stimulation are measurably calmer, more adaptable, and recover faster from new or startling situations. STEP 2 — WEEKS 5–7: SOCIALIZATION & ENVIRONMENTAL EXPOSURE Puppies meet different people, textures, surfaces, sounds, and settings during the critical socialization window. They encounter children, other animals, household sounds, outdoor environments — all in a safe, positive context that builds confidence rather than anxiety. STEP 3 — WEEKS 6–8: MANNERS, CRATE & LEASH INTRODUCTION Each puppy is introduced to a crate as a safe, comfortable space. They learn basic leash tolerance with a properly fitted harness. Early manners work begins: no jumping, responding to their name, and calm greeting behaviors. STEP 4 — WEEKS 7–9: POTTY TRAINING FOUNDATION We begin the potty training process before your puppy ever leaves our home. Our families consistently report that their Designer Pups Haus puppies are the easiest they've ever house-trained — because the foundation was already laid.
