My introduction to the Australian Labradoodle breed started several years before I made the decision to purchase my first Australian Labradoodle puppy.. the one that would start it all, the OG, aka Gia! My research into the breed quickly convinced me that the Australian Labradoodle was the ideal family dog with their allergy friendly, low to no-shed hypoallergenic coats, loving and playful personalities, intelligence, good looks and charm. Temperament was especially important in my search for the perfect furry addition to the family. What caught my attention most of all was how Australian Labradoodle puppies have been bred specifically for therapy and service dog purposes through many generations of selective breeding. This started the wheels turning around how I can make the dream of starting my own small therapy and service dog breeding program a reality. I carefully selected Gia as my foundation girl based on her temperament, conformation, genetics, and beauty. When I arrived at the airport to pick her up, it was love at first sight. She sat quietly in my lap as I waited to board the plane and didn't make a single peep throughout the three connecting flights back home. I was so impressed by her goofy, loving temperament and how easily and calmly she took everything in stride. But that was just the beginning of our journey! Today, I am dedicated to producing selectively bred, ALAA and WALA registered Australian Labradoodle puppies per year for discerning, qualified homes. Most importantly, all of my dogs are members of my family and my puppies are raised underfoot in the home and fully socialized from birth. My commitment as an Australian Labradoodle breeder is to give all of my puppies the best foundation possible to help them grow into hopeful therapy and service dog candidates - or just well adjusted and happy family pets - using Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS). I also help match my puppies with their ideal forever home using PAT (Puppy Aptitude Testing) to assess each puppy's temperament. All of my breeding dogs go through a rigorous health and genetic testing process to ensure the healthiest possible future for the puppies I produce as well. In my breeding program here at GWagz, being a member of breed clubs like ALAA and WALA is important because I want to uphold a standard of excellence with every puppy I produce and be able to share that peace of mind and commitment with my puppy families!
