Hi, I’m Sky Alexander, owner of Mesquite Creek Presas and Mesquite Creek Kennels & Transport. Dogs have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, but my passion for preservation breeding truly began when I discovered the incredible Presa Canario. Their loyalty, intelligence, confidence, and devotion to their families captivated me, and from that moment on, I knew I wanted to dedicate myself to producing healthy, stable, well-rounded dogs that exemplify everything this remarkable breed should be. At Mesquite Creek Presas, our focus is quality over quantity. Every breeding is carefully planned with health, structure, temperament, and breed preservation in mind. Our dogs are first and foremost family members, living alongside us and being raised in a hands-on environment where they receive daily interaction, socialization, and enrichment. As a veterinary professional with years of hands-on animal care experience, I bring an additional level of knowledge and commitment to my breeding program. Health testing is a cornerstone of what we do, and all breeding dogs undergo extensive evaluations prior to being included in our program. We believe responsible breeding starts long before puppies are born. Our puppies are raised using age-appropriate enrichment protocols designed to build confidence, resilience, and adaptability. From the day they are born, they are handled regularly and exposed to new experiences as they develop. We work hard to create puppies that can transition successfully into a variety of homes while maintaining the strength, confidence, and working ability that make the Presa Canario so special. We are committed to supporting our puppy families for the lifetime of every dog we produce. Bringing home a puppy is not simply a transaction—it’s the beginning of a relationship. In addition to breeding, I own and operate Mesquite Creek Kennels & Transport, a licensed and insured pet transportation service that has safely delivered hundreds of animals across the United States. This experience has allowed me to build relationships with breeders, veterinarians, trainers, and dog enthusiasts nationwide while gaining valuable insight into responsible breeding practices across many breeds. My goal is simple: produce healthy, structurally sound, stable-minded Presa Canarios that honor the breed’s history while thriving as loyal family companions and capable working dogs. Every litter represents years of planning, research, education, and dedication, and I take tremendous pride in every puppy that carries the Mesquite Creek name.
