Description

Our puppies are professionally temperament tested to help ensure each one is being matched to their ideal forever families! Lizzy clearly is on the hunt hoping for a place for her heart and ideas to call home! She’s got polite gumption and sly ways to gently weasel herself into any situation! It’s important for this girl to feel a sense of community- and sometimes she will go to questionable lengths to pursue that connection by harassing her sleeping siblings believing they will wake up and be instantly inspired to join in her fun! We can see Lizzy loving life with a built in canine sibling who will take her under their wing but have that quality one on one time to play, build her confidence, and fill her love tank to overflowing! If you are looking for a best buddy who desires inclusion, adventures, and lots of sweetness to give once she finds her true tribe- Lizzy is the one for you! If you have more questions regarding this temperament description, please let us know so we can connect you with Kimberly the Puppy Trainer to go over any puppy behavior questions or concerns you may have! Both parents have been genetically health tested to ensure none of the puppies are affected by common hereditary conditions within the breed. .Mom (Layla): 62 lb AKC Registered English Golden Retriever .Dad (Magnum): 75 lb AKC Registered English Golden Retriever Estimated adult weight: 60–75 lbs Lizzy is being lovingly raised and well-socialized by our family. Pros

America's quintessential family dog — ranked #3 in AKC registration for decades, with an unrivaled reputation for gentleness with children

Exceptional versatility: guide dogs, therapy dogs, search and rescue, hunting retrievers, AKC titling competitors — all in one breed

Golden Retriever Cancer Foundation-backed health research makes this one of the most scientifically studied breeds for hereditary cancer

Social and adaptable — reliably friendly with strangers, other dogs, and animals with appropriate socialization

Cons

Cancer is the leading cause of death in American Goldens, affecting over 60% of the breed — genetic testing cannot currently screen for this

Shedding is prodigious and year-round, intensifying dramatically during biannual coat blows

The puppy phase is extensive — Goldens are frequently described as puppies until age three

High exercise requirement; separation anxiety is common in the breed when owner interaction is insufficient
