Description

This litter is all chocolate puppies. The female we are currently holding back as a potential show candidate. Puppies are 2,200$ for limited/ pet AKC registration and 3,500$ for full AKC registration. Two males are available, the chocolate tri and the chocolate sable. All puppies are clear on their genetic panel through Orivet and will go home microchipped, dewormed routinely, vaccines up to date, started on litter training and vet checked. We are located in Durham NC. Puppies are all carriers for chocolate, chocolate blue, and blue. Deb is a beautiful little chocolate tri. She also has a white chest and white toe tips. Puppies have started to open their eyes. Deb on hold as our potential show prospect. I’ll continue to update as they develop their personalities. Unsure yet if long or short coated.

Pros

Longest-lived small breed — well-cared Chihuahuas regularly reach 14-17 years

AKC registered in two varieties (smooth coat and long coat) with a storied US show history

Extremely adaptable to apartment and city living — one of the most popular breeds in US urban centers

Fierce, devoted loyalty to their person — a true one-person companion in a pocket-sized package

Cons

Notoriously difficult to housebreak — patience and a strict schedule are non-negotiable

The molera (soft spot on the skull) in some individuals requires careful handling throughout life

Prone to hypoglycemia as puppies — multiple small meals and monitoring are essential in the first months

Small dog syndrome risk — without firm, consistent handling from day one they become demanding and snappy
