Affectionate, loyal, and intelligent with traits from both parent breeds

Eager to learn and highly trainable, quick to pick up new commands

Low shedding coat makes them suitable for allergy-sensitive individuals

Well-suited to apartment living and families with older children

Cons

Require grooming every 4 to 6 weeks and daily brushing to prevent tangles

Prone to separation anxiety if left alone for too long

Known for being vocal; training is needed to manage excessive barking

Extra small or "teacup" Maltipoos often have significant health issues
