My coat is solid blue, a smooth, smoky silver-gray all over, no spots, no swirls, just one gorgeous, even shade that shimmers in the light like a little storm cloud that learned how to zoom. People turn their heads when I trot by, and I like to think it’s because of the color, though it might also be the way I run into things. I am short and stocky, built low and solid like a tiny, furry footstool, with a perfect round apple head that I like to tilt at the exact wrong moment, usually right before I trip over my own feet. I am cute as a button, and I know this, mostly because everyone keeps telling me while I’m busy doing something ridiculous. I pounce on my own tail like it’s a sneaky intruder. I sneeze and then act surprised about it. I flop over mid-zoom for no reason at all and then pop back up like I meant to do that. Silly is simply my specialty, and handsome is just how I came out of the box. Artemis by name, absolute clown by nature, and every single head turned my way is just the audience I was born to have.
