Raised With Love. Bred For Life. We’re PA Bernedoodles, a family-run breeder in the heart of central Pennsylvania, and for us, raising puppies isn’t a business — it’s a way of life. Every Bernedoodle we raise grows up surrounded by children, laughter, and everyday family moments, so by the time they arrive in your home, they’re already confident, socialized, and ready to love. From comprehensive genetic health testing and premium raw nutrition to hands-on veterinary care, we pour everything we have into giving each puppy the strongest, healthiest start possible. Because when you bring home a PA Bernedoodle, you’re not just getting a dog — you’re welcoming a companion your family will cherish for life

Pros

Combines the Bernese Mountain Dog's legendary family temperament with the Poodle's trainability and low-shed coat
Three size categories (Standard, Mini, Tiny) with the Standard offering the most predictable Bernese temperament expression
American Bernedoodle breeders have developed some of the most rigorous health testing in the designer dog market given the Bernese's cancer prevalence
Striking tricolor coat pattern in many individuals — the Bernese markings in a soft, low-shed texture

Cons

Cancer is the leading cause of death in Bernese Mountain Dogs — this significantly shapes the Bernedoodle's lifespan unpredictability, particularly in Standard size individuals
Lifespan varies dramatically by size: Standard Bernedoodles average 7-12 years; Tiny Bernedoodles may reach 14-18 years
The premium price ($2,000-$5,000) reflects demand rather than guaranteed health outcomes — health testing documentation is essential
Coat requires professional grooming every 6-8 weeks; the Bernedoodle's dense fleece mats faster than many owners anticipate
