Description

Brother and sister both returned due to no fault of their own . The new owners were older and decided that they couldn’t handle young dogs. They returned Poppy after a month and Grady a few months later. They are AKC registered, house and crate trained. They also are used to walking on a leash. Would like them to go to separate homes. They are not bonded and have very different personalities. Grandfather was a show dog imported from Belarus. They are a 3rd generation of my breedings. No other siblings on mother or father’s side have had cherry eyes . I’m not sure what happened with the past owners but Poppy came back with one caused by an injury and Grady was returned with both eyes and they weren’t sure why. I know cockers are prone to cherry eyes but there is no history of it in their lines. Please contact me for more information if you’re interested. Poppy Female DoB - September 2, 2023 AKC Registered Sable Parti Approximately 25 lbs. Poppy is a female, AKC registered sable parti American Cocker Spaniel. This happy little gal has a personality as sweet as the flower she shares a name with. Poppy is a friendly and outgoing girl who gets along with most dogs, but has a preference towards males. She loves romping around outside, taking in the smells of the world around her and is not stingy with her kisses. She hasn’t met a person she doesn’t like- old or young. Poppy has experience walking on a leash and is both house and crate-trained. This poor girl was returned to us through no fault of her own. The family who took her had taken Poppy along with her brother Grady, but ultimately decided they could not handle two puppies at the same time. Sadly, they returned Grady not too long after (again, through no fault of his own). Before she was returned, Poppy incurred an injury which caused a cherry eye to develop. We keep it soft and lubricated with eyedrops, and it has not bothered her at all. Her rehoming fee is greatly reduced because of this slight flaw. All in all, this girl truly is a genuinely lovely example of the cocker spaniel breed. She would thrive in an environment where she could romp and play and get the attention she craves. We are hoping to finally find a place where she won’t get turned away again for simply being herself. If you think you could be the person for Poppy, send a message and we will send an application to you. Price is for pet only . Full registration may be given to the right indoor home with some questions and a larger fee. I’m hoping to place her in a pet home . I want it to be her forever home. Poppy is currently shaved down . I can send current pictures.
