I am a Mini to medium double doodle puppy! My Mom is Blue is a 45lb Mini sheepadoodle and my Dad is Alpha a 45lb Mini Bernedoodle. Both parents are genetic tested. I was born on March 24th and I will be ready for my forever home on May 19th! I have been family raised on a mini farm in the country around children. I have had my shots and de-wormers. I have been checked by a veterinarian. I am micro-chipped. For more information or to schedule a visit with me, please contact us Monday through Saturday. All Sunday calls will be returned on Monday.
Mini double doodles are known for their playful, affectionate nature, and being perfect for owners that are active or have families. They are great around children and can do well around other dogs as well, especially if they are introduced to other dogs early on. These dogs are very intelligent and love mental stimulation; they are fairly easy to train but do have a potential for chewing and using their mouths to play. Their playfulness comes with a relatively high energy level but they also love to cuddle and be very affectionate with those around them. Overall, they love attention and are bred to be companion dogs, so they do best when they are not left alone for long periods of time.
Double doodle sizes depend on the size of the parent, and these babies typically stand 18-22 inches tall and weigh 25 to 49 pounds. Due to being a designer breed these dogs are typically considered very healthy with little to no food/digestive issues. Proper training is very important for these dogs, as well as early exposure to humans, other dogs, and general socialization.
The looks of Mini double doodles can vary greatly, because of the mix between the Bernese Mountain Dog, sheep dog and Poodle. Typically they do not shed much, and have coats that range between colors of black, brown, and white and Merle. Because they don't shed as much, their coats must be groomed and trimmed regularly; some Mini double doodles will have curly coats which can be slightly more difficult to groom. This is an excellent breed of dog that is praised for its combination of great traits from both breeds.
