Description

Welcome to the King Family Litter. We are raising these beautiful red Golden Retriever puppies being in our home. They have been loved on by our family from the day they were born. They are part of our every day life and hold a special place in our hearts. Each puppy is vet checked, up to date on vaccines, and has been dewormed. Hello, I'm Zion! I'm still figuring out this big world, but so far I'm pretty sure it's full of good things! I'm one of 10 Golden Retriever puppies being raised in the King family home, where I've been surrounded by love, attention, and plenty of cuddles since the day I was born. I'm well socialized and already getting the hang of going potty outside in the grass! I've also had my vet check, am on a regular deworming schedule, and am up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations. I'll grow into a beautiful red Golden Retriever, just like my mama, Ivy, and daddy, Trevor. My litter is AKC registered, and I'll come with all the paperwork needed to register me in my new owner's name. We have an instagram page! We've been documenting the puppies' journey from their very first days, and we'd love for you to see all the fun along the way! Find us at @Kingfamilypups for videos, pictures, and plenty of puppy cuteness! What He'll Take Home With Him: - His current food: A bag of the food he's used to eating, along with instructions for gradually switching to a new food if you'd like.
 - A toy and a little blanket: Something familiar to bring along for comfort as he settles into his new home.
 - His vet records: Documentation of his vet check, care, and vaccinations, along with information about when his next vaccines are due.
 - A puppy information folder: Including everything you'll need to know about AKC registration and helpful information for caring for your new puppy.
A Few Things to Keep in Mind After Bringing Zion Home: Bringing home a new puppy is exciting! There are also a few important things to plan for as he settles into his new family. - Vet visit: Zion will need to see your veterinarian within 14 days of going home to comply with our health warranty. Be sure to bring his vet records along!
 - Neutering: We recommend discussing the appropriate timing with your veterinarian as Zion grows.
 - Vaccines and deworming: His vet records will help you keep track of what's next and when he's due for his next visits.
 - Potty training: He's already getting the hang of going potty outside in the grass! Just remember he'll need a little patience and consistency as he learns his new home's routine.
 - Settling in: Moving to a new home is a big adventure! Give him plenty of love, patience, and time to adjust. Before you know it, he'll be right at home with his new family!

Pros

America's quintessential family dog — ranked #3 in AKC registration for decades, with an unrivaled reputation for gentleness with children
Exceptional versatility: guide dogs, therapy dogs, search and rescue, hunting retrievers, AKC titling competitors — all in one breed
Golden Retriever Cancer Foundation-backed health research makes this one of the most scientifically studied breeds for hereditary cancer
Social and adaptable — reliably friendly with strangers, other dogs, and animals with appropriate socialization

Cons

Cancer is the leading cause of death in American Goldens, affecting over 60% of the breed — genetic testing cannot currently screen for this
Shedding is prodigious and year-round, intensifying dramatically during biannual coat blows
The puppy phase is extensive — Goldens are frequently described as puppies until age three
High exercise requirement; separation anxiety is common in the breed when owner interaction is insufficient
