Description

Looking for a little buddy with a big heart? Say hello to our newest litter of Dachshund puppies! With their silky ears, sweet faces, and wiggly long bodies, these pups are guaranteed to make you smile the moment you see them. Every puppy in this litter is friendly and full of love. They are happiest when they are being held, and they will gladly snuggle up beside you for as long as you let them. Children are some of their favorite people, so these pups are a great fit for families with kids who are ready for a gentle, affectionate playmate. Each puppy is microchipped and up to date on shots and dewormer, and every one of them will be vet checked, giving you peace of mind from the very first day. Wondering what size your puppy will be as an adult? Both parents weigh approximately 13 lbs., so you can plan with confidence for a compact companion that fits right into your home and your life. Dachshunds are charming, clever little dogs with a lot of personality. They are loyal to their families, quick to learn, and always ready for a short walk or a game in the yard. They adjust easily to apartments and houses alike, and they are never far from their favorite person. Expect a devoted friend who will follow you from room to room and curl up beside you at the end of the day. Ready to meet your new best friend? Call us with any questions or to schedule a visit!

Pros

AKC's most popular hound breed — combining apartment-friendly size with a genuine hunting dog's tenacity

Three coat varieties (smooth, wirehaired, longhaired) and two sizes (standard and miniature) offer real choice

Long-lived breed — well-cared Dachshunds regularly reach 12-16 years

Vocal watchdog in a small package — highly alert and protective despite modest size

Cons

IVDD (intervertebral disc disease) is the most significant breed health crisis — spinal injury risk is real and lifelong

Stubborn, independent terrier-like character requiring consistent patience in training

Strong prey drive and determined digging instinct — yards must be secured, small pets carefully managed

Housebreaking is notoriously difficult — a consistent crate-training approach from day one is essential
