Description

Hi We have a few boys available. We offer a one-year health guarantee to cover any genetic issues. All our puppies are raised in our home, where they receive lots of love and socialization from a young age. They're dewormed at 2, 4, 6, and 8 weeks, and they visit the vet at ó weeks old for a complete health check and vaccinations that are right for their age. Puppies are ready to go to their new homes at 8 weeks. When your puppy arrives, we'll send you: • A small bag of their current food • AKC Limited Registration papers • A health certificate • A blanket with mom's scent to help them settle in Our parent dogs have all been health tested-eyes, hearts, hips, elbows, and DNA-and they've all passed with flying colors. The total price for a puppy is $1200 To reserve your puppy, we need a $500 deposit which will be applied to the total cost. Puppy selections start at 6 weeks old, and they're chosen in the order deposits are received. This is when their personalities really start to show!

Pros

America's quintessential family dog — ranked #3 in AKC registration for decades, with an unrivaled reputation for gentleness with children
Exceptional versatility: guide dogs, therapy dogs, search and rescue, hunting retrievers, AKC titling competitors — all in one breed
Golden Retriever Cancer Foundation-backed health research makes this one of the most scientifically studied breeds for hereditary cancer
Social and adaptable — reliably friendly with strangers, other dogs, and animals with appropriate socialization

Cons

Cancer is the leading cause of death in American Goldens, affecting over 60% of the breed — genetic testing cannot currently screen for this
Shedding is prodigious and year-round, intensifying dramatically during biannual coat blows
The puppy phase is extensive — Goldens are frequently described as puppies until age three
High exercise requirement; separation anxiety is common in the breed when owner interaction is insufficient
