English Cream Golden Retriever Puppies — Ready for Their Forever Homes Our litter of 11 English Cream Golden Retriever puppies is looking for loving forever homes! These puppies have been raised with lots of daily handling, attention, and interaction, and are growing into happy, playful, affectionate companions. Their mother is pedigreed and comes from documented ACA and AKC bloodlines, and their father is AKC registered. Documentation and records are available for interested families. The puppies have been working on important early skills including sitting, coming when called, not jumping, gentle play, and going potty outside. They are still puppies, of course, but we have been putting time into giving them a good foundation for life with their new families. Each puppy has their own unique personality, but they are all sweet, curious, playful, and people-oriented. We are now beginning the process of matching them with their forever families, with puppies going home as soon as they are legally able to leave. Pickup & Transportation: Families are welcome to pick up their puppy in person or arrange their own transportation. We offer delivery within 50 miles of Boston for $100, or within 100 miles for $200. Delivery beyond 100 miles may be available on a case-by-case basis for an additional fee. We are also willing to work with buyers who wish to arrange transportation or shipping themselves. Please contact us for availability, individual puppy information, photos, and additional records. Meet Basil! Like all puppies, Basil is quick to play, but he’s also the one you’ll find slipping his head into your lap for a snuggle instead of joining the wrestle. He loves hugs, and if I had to predict, I’d say he’s going to grow up to be a 75-pound lap dog. Basil has an especially fluffy, incredibly soft coat that makes you feel like you’re hugging a teddy bear, and he has the personality to match. If I were naming him now instead of when he was born, I think I would have named him Teddy. He is already showing a very loyal personality and has a wonderful balance of playful puppy energy and affection.

Pros

America's quintessential family dog — ranked #3 in AKC registration for decades, with an unrivaled reputation for gentleness with children

Exceptional versatility: guide dogs, therapy dogs, search and rescue, hunting retrievers, AKC titling competitors — all in one breed

Golden Retriever Cancer Foundation-backed health research makes this one of the most scientifically studied breeds for hereditary cancer

Social and adaptable — reliably friendly with strangers, other dogs, and animals with appropriate socialization

Cons

Cancer is the leading cause of death in American Goldens, affecting over 60% of the breed — genetic testing cannot currently screen for this

Shedding is prodigious and year-round, intensifying dramatically during biannual coat blows

The puppy phase is extensive — Goldens are frequently described as puppies until age three

High exercise requirement; separation anxiety is common in the breed when owner interaction is insufficient
