Description

These Golden Retriever pups have that classic retriever warmth turned all the way up, and any one of them would happily spend the afternoon curled up next to you if given the chance. They're a genuinely snuggly bunch, the kind of dogs that lean into you and settle in close, which tells you a lot about the companions they're going to grow into. Goldens are known for their affectionate nature, and this litter really does carry that trait through and through. Coats are coming in beautifully, with that soft, dense golden fur that the breed is so recognizable for. As they mature, that coat will fill out into the flowing, lustrous look Goldens are known for, and their broad, friendly faces and warm eyes already carry all the hallmarks of the breed. These are sturdy, well-proportioned pups with the kind of gentle, easygoing temperament that makes Goldens such a consistently beloved breed across so many different types of households. Whether you live somewhere quieter or somewhere with a lot going on, a dog with this kind of disposition tends to adapt well and bring a steady, calming presence to the people around them. That natural sociability and eagerness to be near their people is one of the reasons Goldens work so well for families, for individuals, and for just about anyone looking for a loyal and attentive canine companion. They've been vet checked, dewormed, and their shots are up to date, so you can feel good about bringing one of these pups home knowing the basics have been taken care of. The litter is ACA registered, which we're happy to share documentation on for families who want that peace of mind. We'd genuinely love for you to come out and meet them in person! Reach out anytime with questions you may have!

Pros

America's quintessential family dog — ranked #3 in AKC registration for decades, with an unrivaled reputation for gentleness with children
Exceptional versatility: guide dogs, therapy dogs, search and rescue, hunting retrievers, AKC titling competitors — all in one breed
Golden Retriever Cancer Foundation-backed health research makes this one of the most scientifically studied breeds for hereditary cancer
Social and adaptable — reliably friendly with strangers, other dogs, and animals with appropriate socialization

Cons

Cancer is the leading cause of death in American Goldens, affecting over 60% of the breed — genetic testing cannot currently screen for this
Shedding is prodigious and year-round, intensifying dramatically during biannual coat blows
The puppy phase is extensive — Goldens are frequently described as puppies until age three
High exercise requirement; separation anxiety is common in the breed when owner interaction is insufficient
