I am a Newfypoo puppy! I was born on February 18th and I will be ready for my forever home on April 15th! I have been family raised on a mini farm in the country. I have had my shots and de-wormers. I have been checked by a veterinarian and microchipped. For more information or to schedule a visit with me, please contact Mary Ester Monday through Saturday. All Sunday calls will be returned on Monday.
My Mom is Kelsy a Newfoundland and my Dad is Marco a Poodle.
The Newfypoo is a relatively modern “designer breed,” developed in the United States within the last few decades by crossing the Newfoundland and the Poodle. This mix was originally created to combine the Newfoundland’s gentle, loyal nature with the intelligence and lower-shedding coat of the Poodle. While they don’t have a long formal breed history like purebreds, Newfypoos have quickly grown in popularity thanks to their friendly temperament, trainability, and family-oriented personality. In addition to their affectionate personality, Newfypoos are prized for their beautiful, soft coats that can range from wavy to curly and come in a variety of colors. They are an active breed that enjoys outdoor playtime but are equally happy relaxing at home with their people. With proper care, socialization, and regular grooming, a Newfypoo grows into a well-mannered, devoted companion who will quickly become a cherished member of the family.
As adults, Newfypoos are considered a large to giant breed. Most will reach between 22–30 inches tall at the shoulder and typically weigh anywhere from 70 to 150 pounds, depending on genetics and whether a standard or smaller Poodle was used in breeding. They usually take longer to fully mature than smaller dogs, often reaching their full size between 12–24 months. Despite their impressive size, they are known as “gentle giants” with calm, affectionate personalities, making them excellent companions for families who have the space to accommodate a larger dog.
