Description

This litter is the result of Vidarr × Þorfríðr (Porfridr), combining proven genetics selected for sound nerves, intelligence, athleticism, and biddability. Both parents have undergone health testing, and their offspring are raised in a structured environment with daily socialization, age-appropriate enrichment, and early foundational training. Puppies are introduced to different surfaces, sounds, people, and experiences to help develop confidence and resilience. Each puppy is evaluated to help match the right temperament with the right home. Each puppy goes home with: • Age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming • Veterinary health examination • Microchip • Registration paperwork (AKC/UKC when applicable) • Three-year genetic health guarantee • Leather collar and leash • Toy and treats • Starter supply of Diamond Puppy Food • 30 days of Trupanion pet insurance • Fi GPS collar discount voucher • Lifetime breeder and training support from Laeknir K9 Whether you’re looking for a devoted family companion, sport prospect, service dog candidate, or future working partner, our goal is to produce dogs with the genetics and foundation to succeed in whatever path lies ahead. This Belgian Malinois puppy is from our Vidarr × Porfridr pairing, thoughtfully selected to produce healthy, intelligent, environmentally sound dogs with balanced temperaments, strong working genetics, and excellent trainability. Both parents are AKC/UKC dual registered, DNA clear, and fully health tested with OFA CHIC certifications. We anticipate moderate drive levels from this pairing, making these puppies promising candidates for active family homes, obedience, sport, and other working pursuits. Individual temperaments will vary, and formal temperament evaluations will be completed at 6 weeks of age to help identify each puppy’s natural drives, confidence, sociability, and suitability for different lifestyles. At Laeknir K9, we believe exceptional dogs begin long before birth. Our breeding program prioritizes genetic health, stable nerves, sound structure, working ability, and the preservation of the Belgian Malinois as a capable, versatile working breed. Our puppies benefit from structured early development, environmental enrichment, socialization, and foundational training designed to prepare them for success. Your puppy comes with: * AKC/UKC registration eligibility * Age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming * Veterinary health examination * Microchip * Genetic health guarantee * 30 days of Trupanion pet insurance * Fi GPS collar voucher * Premium leather collar and leash * Toy, treats, and Kinetic Puppy Food * Early crate, potty, and recall conditioning * Lifetime breeder support and access to Laeknir K9 trainers Ready for their new homes at 8 weeks of age. Pros

The US military and Secret Service's preferred working dog — arguably the most capable dog breed alive for detection, protection, and patrol work

Extraordinary trainability for experienced handlers — the Malinois's drive and intelligence create a uniquely powerful human-dog partnership

Athletic and agile in a medium package — lighter and faster than the German Shepherd with equivalent work capacity

Belgian Sheepdog Club of America maintains active CHIC health testing requirements

Cons

Not suitable for first-time owners under any circumstances — this is a working dog that will develop serious behavioral problems without adequate leadership and activity

Drive is constant and high — a Malinois in an under-stimulated environment creates its own destructive "jobs"

The breed's growing popularity has produced poorly bred lines in the US civilian market; finding working-line breeders with health testing requires research

Dog aggression in working lines requires active management
