Pros
Deeply affectionate and loyal, forming strong family bonds
Great choice for novice owners due to their eagerness to learn
Strong herding instincts make them alert and responsive
Adaptable to both apartment and rural living with proper exercise
Cons
Requires daily grooming due to thick coat
Prone to separation anxiety if left alone for extended periods
Can be timid or wary around strangers without early socialization
Herding behaviors like nipping need management and training
