History: The Springerdoodle is a hybrid of the English Springer Spaniel and the Poodle. Like most designer crossbreeds, the Springerdoodle originated in the United States. During this time, many breeders began intentionally crossing two purebred dogs to create new breeds that combined the best traits of both parents. Like the Springerdoodle, many of these new crossbreeds were Poodle mixes. This is likely because of the Poodle's non-shedding coat.
