Chorkie Puppies for sale in Nashua, New Hampshire

The Chorkie, also known by nicknames like Yorkiechi and Chiyorkie, is a charming designer breed originating from the United States in the early 1990s. This small dog is a cross between the spunky Chihuahua and the affectionate Yorkshire Terrier, combining the unique traits of both breeds. Physically, Chorkies typically stand 6 to 10 inches tall and weigh between 8 to 14 pounds. Their coats vary from silky and long like a Yorkie to shorter like a Chihuahua, often sporting beautiful black, tan, blue, or silver colors. Known for their lively and vocal temperament, Chorkies are loyal, energetic, and make excellent watchdogs. Although they can be stubborn, with early socialization and positive training, they become loving and adaptable companions. Their moderate exercise needs, requiring less than an hour of walking daily, make them well-suited for apartment living or homes with small gardens. Daily grooming is essential to keep their coats healthy and tangle-free. Overall, the Chorkie is an ideal choice for families or individuals seeking a playful, alert, and affectionate small dog.
