The Cockapoo — also known as the Cockerpoo, Spoodle, or Cockerdoodle — is a well-loved cross between the Cocker Spaniel and the Poodle, famous for its affectionate nature, intelligence, and often low-shedding coat. Later generations like F2, F3, and F4 — produced by breeding two Cockapoos together — tend to offer more consistency in appearance, including the popular teddy-bear look.
Cockapoos usually inherit the Poodle’s intelligence and the Cocker Spaniel’s gentle, affectionate temperament. Their soft, wavy or curly coats come in many colours and require regular grooming to prevent matting, and their ears benefit from routine cleaning.
